JetBlue To Add First-Class Option On Some Boston Flights

BOSTON (CBS) -- JetBlue, which had once marketed itself as a coach-only airline, is adding a first-class option.

Starting March 2016, the largest airline carrier in Boston will add its "Mint" experience on planes headed from Boston to San Francisco or the Barbados.

The first-class experience doesn't just mean premium seats. According to the company's website, JetBlue will offer its Mint passengers faster check-ins and security passes, early boarding, 'nonstop entertainment,' and dining on board. Mint passengers will also be the first to receive their bags at their destination.

The airline also announced that it will add a route from Boston to Nashville and increase seasonal service to certain destinations including direct flights to Barbados and Costa Rica.
