JetBlue Hit By Problems With Ticketing System

BOSTON (CBS) – A ticketing outage hit JetBlue Airways early Monday morning, preventing passengers from checking in with the popular airline.

The computer problem affected passengers at Logan and several other major airports and the airline tweeted apologies to several customers.

Massachusetts State Police at Logan Airport said Jet Blue passengers were having to check in manually inside Terminal C prior to 6 a.m.

The problem appeared to be resolved a short time later, but there were still delays.

JetBlue issued this statement around 7:30 a.m:

"Systems are back online after an IT system outage this morning. The issue was resolved at approximately 6:15 a.m. Eastern Time. We are working to resume normal operations now. Customers may experience some delays throughout the day. We apologize for any inconvenience."
