Jeremiah Oliver's Funeral Set For Saturday

FITCHBURG, Mass. (AP) — The 5-year-old Fitchburg boy who was missing for months before his body was found by the side of a highway is being laid to rest this weekend.

Visiting hours followed by funeral services for Jeremiah Oliver are scheduled for the Rollstone Congregational Church on Saturday.

Both are open to the public.

Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.

Jeremiah had not been seen by relatives since September but was not reported missing until December.

His body was found two weeks ago.

His mother and her boyfriend have been charged in connection with his disappearance, which helped spur major changes in the state child welfare agency.

According to his obituary, Jeremiah liked Spiderman, playing outdoors, and "souped-up" cars, and wanted to be a police officer when he grew up.
