McGee, a six-year veteran who has had his share of ups and downs throughout his career, will now likely sign with a playoff team. The Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks are two potential landing spots.
The 27-year-old, who averaged 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds this season, was released by the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this week. He was acquired by Philadelphia prior to the trade deadline from the Denver Nuggets.
