Jared Remy Accused Of Attacking Detainee At Middlesex Jail

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - Jared Remy, who is being held without bail in the murder of his girlfriend, is accused of attacking another detainee at the Middlesex Jail in Cambridge.

Remy, 35, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The alleged attack happened Thursday.

Remy has been moved and currently has no contact with other detainees. He will be arraigned on the new charges on April 24.

Jared Remy, the son of Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy, is accused of murdering Jennifer Martel in Waltham last August. He's pleaded not guilty to the charges.
