Janet Jackson Postpones Boston Tour Date Again, Says She's Planning Family

BOSTON (CBS) – Pop superstar Janet Jackson is once again putting her world tour, which includes a stop in Boston this summer, on hold.

Jackson announced on social media Wednesday that she and her husband are planning their family and need to delay the concert series.

"Please, if you can try and understand that it's important that I do this now," Jackson said. "I have to rest up, doctor's orders."

The five-time Grammy winner was originally set to perform at the TD Garden in February, but that was postponed to August 18 after undergoing an unspecified surgery.

Jackson says she plans to continue the tour "as soon as I possibly can."
