Driver, Passenger Hurt In I-93 Truck Crash Near Concord, NH

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A Rhode Island man and his passenger suffered injuries when his pickup truck went off the road and struck a tree on Interstate 93 near Concord.

New Hampshire State Police say when 21-year-old Travis Gallant of Block Island, Rhode Island, drove off the right side of the road his pickup truck rolled over and hit a tree. It happened just after 4 p.m. Saturday.

Gallant and a female passenger were taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. The passenger's name wasn't disclosed. A 6-month-old dog traveling with them ran from the crash scene and hasn't been found.

An initial investigation by troopers indicates Gallant fell asleep while driving.
