Husky With 'Free' Sign Found Chained To Fence In N.H.

CONCORD, N.H. (CBS) -- Police are investigating a possible animal cruelty incident after a husky was found chained to a fence in Concord, New Hampshire with a sign saying "Free."

The adult male Husky/Malamute dog was discovered at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday near the City of Concord Dog Park with the sign attached to him, and also had a box of dog food close by, according to Concord police.

The dog had a gray cloth collar on, but no tags. Police believe the dog may have been chained to the fence for several hours before he was found, but appears to be in good health.

The dog is currently in the care of a foster family. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
