Humpback Whale Washes Ashore On Nantucket Beach

NANTUCKET (CBS) – A humpback whale washed up on a Nantucket beach Tuesday morning.

The whale was found on Miacomet Beach, and town officials asked residents to keep their distance.

On Twitter, the Town of Nantucket told residents to not touch the whale, and asked them to keep animals away from the carcass.

It is not currently clearly what caused the whale's death.
