Human Remains Found Near Train Tracks In Somerville

SOMERVILLE (CBS) – Human remains were found just before 1:00 Sunday afternoon near train tracks off School Street in Somerville.

The Middlesex District Attorney's office said Somerville and state police are investigating but released no further details.

The spot under a bridge where the remains were found about 12:45 p.m. Sunday is about a block from the home on Sycamore Street where a father and son were arrested for allegedly beating their roommate to death and dismembering his body, the Boston Globe reported.

Remains found behind the Coakley Middle School in Norwood on Jan. 29, were identified as the suspects' roommate, 66-year-old Vincent Lalli.

There was no information on whether the remains found Sunday were connected to Lalli's death.
