Hopkinton Police Say Person May Be Taking Photos Of Children In Town

HOPKINTON (CBS) – Hopkinton police are searching for a person who may be taking pictures of kids in town.

"It has been brought to our attention that there was a white utility van last seen at Pond Street and Jamie Lane with an unidentified person possibly taking photos of children," the school department said Friday in an email to parents.

"The Hopkinton Police currently have police officers on alert and will be monitoring school bus stops this afternoon."

The van is described as a white commercial vehicle with green lettering and "pictures of a baby's face on one side and mother on the back."

A full description of the license plate was not available, but authorities said the plate is likely to have "SY1" on it.

"The eyewitness did not see the driver of the van but felt confident that the driver was a man," the school department said.
