NH Resident Who Painted 'Slow Down' On Road Will Not Face Charges

HOOKSETT, NH (CBS) – A concerned citizen who took matters into her own hands is now paying the price.

Police say they now know who spray-painted "slow down" 13 times on Farmer Road in Hooksett, NH.

Christine Bishop will not face any criminal charges, but she did write an apology to the town and paid a $200 fine to have the paint removed by a pressure washer.

She told police she wanted to enforce the 30 MPH speed limit that drivers often ignore.
