LOWELL (CBS) – A homeless man was arrested on Friday for allegedly exposing himself to a library staff member in Lowell.

Lowell police responded to Pollard Memorial Library on Friday just before 5 p.m. for a report of a man who had exposed himself inside the library.

Police said a man who was riding in an elevator at the library with a female staff member exposed himself while the elevator was between floors.

After she left the elevator, the woman called police. Officers found the man still at the library when they arrived.

Michael Jenkins, 33, listed as homeless, was arrested and charged with open and gross lewdness.

Jenkins is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday in Lowell District Court and is being held without bail until then.
