2 Dead, 6 Overdose On Dangerous Batch Of Heroin, Fitchburg Police Say

FITCHBURG (CBS) -- Police say two people have died and six others overdosed in less than a day after using a dangerous batch of heroin in Fitchburg.

The fatal overdoses happened on Friday, officials say, and the non-fatal ones occurred on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Worcester District Attorney's Office released a statement warning people about the drug problems that have taken place in the Fitchburg area.
