Hernandez Attorneys Want Medical Records Subpoenaed From Patriots

BOSTON (CBS) - Attorneys for Aaron Hernandez have asked the court to subpoena his medical records from the New England Patriots.

The defense says the records could provide potential evidence about his physical and mental state prior to and at the time of the murder of Odin Lloyd last year.

Attorneys said they had previously requested the records, but received no response from the team.

The requested records include psychological testing, medication records, X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, drug or alcohol abuse-related records, other medical records, physical therapy records, scouting reports, and investigative reports on Hernandez.

Hernandez is currently in Bristol County Jail facing charges in the June 2013 shooting death of Lloyd in North Attleboro and the July 2012 shooting deaths of Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado in the South End.
