Heat Building...

So we just had a couple of stunning days...sunny, warm yet very low humidity.  That's all about to change as heat and humidity will build in over the next couple of days.  We have yet to touch 90 degrees here in Boston this year and the last time we did was last September.  The average date for the first 90 degree day is June 8th...so we aren't too far off.  Late tonight and early tomorrow morning we run the risk of a few rumbles of thunder...the leading edge of humidity (a dew point front) will provide the spark...then the heat and humidity begin flowing in.  Temps will climb into the mid and upper 80s by the afternoon.  I think Boston will come up short of 90 due to a less than ideal wind direction out of the S/SW.

By Wednesday, conditions will be much more favorable for Boston to hit 90.  A front will come through in the morning and the wind will back to the W...offshore...and we will bake.  There is also a good chance for thunderstorms depending on the timing of a cold front.  If storms spark they could be strong ones with damaging wind and hail.

There is a very good chance that Boston see it's first 90 degree day on Wednesday...and offshore breeze will heat the coastline the most.
