Head-On Car Crash On Route 37 In Holbrook Sends 4 People To Hospital

HOLBROOK (CBS) – Four people were injured in a head-on car crash Sunday afternoon on Route 37 in Holbrook.

The crash involving two passenger cars occurred just after 1:30 p.m. in front of 417 South Franklin St. (Route 37), Holbrook police said.

An off-duty Holbrook firefighter who was near the crash stopped to help the victims before emergency responders arrived.

One victim was taken by ambulance to Holbrook hospital, transferred to a Boston MedFlight helicopter and flown to Tufts Medical Center.

Two crash victims were taken to Brockton Hospital and another was taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

No information was available on the condition of the four victims.

Route 37 was shut down while Holbrook police, state police and the Norfolk District Attorney's office investigated.
