Haverhill Couple Found Dead At Home, No Foul Play Suspected

HAVERHILL, Mass. (AP) — The Essex district attorney's office says foul play is not suspected in the deaths of a Haverhill husband and wife whose bodies were found by their young children.

Spokeswoman Carrie Kimball-Monahan said Sunday that state police are investigating the "unattended" deaths of the 39-year-old man and 36-year-old woman found dead Saturday at their home.

She said the couple's 10-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter found the parents at about 10:45 a.m. and called their grandmother. The grandmother called a nearby friend, who went to the home and then called 911.

Kimball-Monahan said the state Department of Children and Families responded to the scene as is routine, and the children are now in the custody of their grandmother.
