Hole In Haverhill Bridge Snarls Traffic On I-495

HAVERHILL (CBS) – Traffic in Haverhill was snarled for several hours after concrete came loose in the center lane of a bridge on Interstate 495.

The crumbling concrete exposed a 6-inch area of steel reinforcement bars on the bridge, which is above the Merrimack River in the area of Exit 49.
