Harwich Burglary Suspect Caught After Posting Stolen Items On Facebook

HARWICH (CBS) – A teenager accused of breaking into three homes in Harwich is facing charges after police say he tried to sell several of the stolen items on a Cape Cod community Facebook page.

John Evangelista, 19, is charged with three felony counts of breaking and entering and larceny, and two counts of destruction of property.

Police say Evangelista tried to sell stolen televisions and other items on the Cape Cod Virtual Yard Sale Facebook page.

All three thefts took place at homes on Archibald Circle, which is the street where Evangelista's mother lives.
