Hanley Ramirez Injures Wrist In Fall After Red Sox Loss In Seattle

BOSTON (CBS) -- Hanley Ramirez was spotted undergoing tests with a trainer in the Red Sox clubhouse after Tuesday's 5-4 loss in Seattle, which was a curious sight. It turns out that Ramirez hurt himself after the game, not during it.

Manager John Farrell explained to reporters after the game that Ramirez "lost his footing" going down the steps on the way to the clubhouse and jammed his wrist trying to break his fall. Farrell said the tests were "precautionary" in nature.

The Boston Globe's Peter Abraham said Dave Dombrowski will have more on Ramirez on Wednesday, which he believes is not a good sign for Ramirez's status.

Ramirez homered and doubled in the game and is batting .278 with 14 home runs and 62 RBI.
