Hanley Ramirez Arrives Early At Red Sox Spring Training
BOSTON (CBS) -- The first baseman for the Boston Red Sox has arrived.
No, Hanley Ramirez never has played first base in his life, but he arrived in Fort Myers on Wednesday nearly a full week before position players are required to report for duty.
Clearly, it's a big year for Ramirez, who will take on the challenge of fielding a new position for the second straight year. And if early indications are worth anything, Ramirez figures to be taking it seriously this year.

Though a large number of Red Sox players have already arrived in camp, pitchers and catchers must officially report on Thursday, while position players are due to report on Feb. 23. The first official full-squad workout will take place Feb. 24.
