Gresh, Zo & Matt Light's Main Takeaways From Wildcard Weekend

BOSTON (CBS) - Former New England Patriots left tackle Matt Light joined Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak in studio Monday for some NFL playoff analysis and the major storylines coming out of Wildcard Weekend.

The Patriots were on a bye week and learned on Sunday afternoon after a Cincinnati loss that their opponent will be the Indianapolis Colts coming off a thrilling 45-44 comeback over the Kansas City Chiefs the day before.

Matt Light thought for sure the Patriots would be playing the Bengals (and even hinted that the Patriots figured as much), but now a matchup against Andrew Luck's Colts is set for Saturday night at Gillette.

There were four action-packed games from over the weekend, each with their own implications and outcomes - so to start the show on Monday, Gresh, Zolak and Matt Light gave their main takeaways from the wildcard round.

Matt Light: Indianapolis Impressive

"When you watch Indianapolis come back and play the way they did with a young quarterback and a defense that's suspect at best - and to win at their place down like that, that's pretty impressive. That stood out to me."

Gresh: Special Teams Matter

"When you look at the field position, especially if you're in a three-point game, the punter is on the radar now. Whether it was San Francisco, or Indianapolis - field position and the ability to make a big kick became massive."

Zolak: It's All About The Signal Caller

"It's Luck, it's Brady. It's Manning, it's Philip Rivers. It's Drew Brees, it's Russell Wilson - it's a quarterback's league. The Colts put it on Andrew Luck's back to go and win it on Saturday and he did."
