Rockland Man Killed, Woman And Child Hurt In NH Crash

GRANTHAM, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire state police say a Massachusetts man is dead and a woman and child are injured after a one-car crash in Grantham.

Authorities say it took more than an hour to extricate the victims from the 2003 Nissan Murano after it veered off Interstate 89 southbound and onto the median, striking several trees, at about 7:35 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the driver — 24-year-old Eliecarmiche Alvarado, of Rockland, Massachusetts — was pronounced dead at the scene.

A female passenger was flown by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with multiple injuries and a child who had been strapped into a safety seat was transported to DHMC by ambulance with minor injuries.

The two people injured were not identified.
