Woman, Child Hit By Car In Roxbury

BOSTON (CBS) – A grandmother and her grandchild were hit by a car while standing on the sidewalk at the intersection of Tremont and Prentiss Street Monday afternoon.

The car jumped the curb after it collided with another vehicle. A third parked car was also struck.

The 61-year-old woman suffered a serious leg injury. The 8-year-old girl suffered minor cuts to her hands.

The drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No charges have been filed but the crash is still under investigation.
