The girl was rushed to Lowell General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It's unclear if she is still at the hospital.

The dog, which belongs to the girl's neighbor, was ordered to be quarantined at its home for the next 10 days.

Investigators say the animal had received all of its shots and has no history of violent attacks on people.

As of Saturday night, no charged had been filed. No additional information was immediately available.
