Gas Prices Down 6 Cents In Massachusetts

BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts drivers are enjoying some midsummer relief at the gas pump.

AAA Northeast reports that the average price for self-serve regular in the state fell 6 cents in the past week to stand at $2.08 per gallon.

The average price is 50 cents less than it was a year ago at this time and remains 5 cents below the current national average of $2.13 per gallon.

AAA Northeast spokeswoman Mary Maguire says falling oil prices and strong supplies are continuing to keep prices down.
