Game Of Jones: Over/Under 550 Career Home Runs For David Ortiz?

BOSTON (CBS) - It was an Over/Under Tuesday night on The Adam Jones Show's "Game of Jones."

In this latest edition, Adam Jones gives his take on the following topics:

Touchdown Passes By Tom Brady: 32.5

"I'm going to go under for a number of reasons. One is he may miss time, we don't know at this point, though I would say that part of it is unlikely. Even if the judge upholds Roger Goodell's punishment for Brady, he's playing this full year," said Jones. "He may play all 16 regular season games, but I don't know how you could feel great about the weapons he has. Julian Edelman, I'm sure he'll be fine, but with his injury history and the fact he's already hobbled isn't a good sign. With Gronk, you never know. With Brandon LaFell, while it was a good sign he wasn't placed on reserved PUP on Tuesday, that's a somewhat good sign but I don't think he's going to be ready for the beginning of the year.

"It's more about the receiving corps," said Jones. "One, 32.5 is a big number and two, I just don't love what I've seen from the receiving corps. I'm sure the numbers will be great, I just think that touchdown total is a little high."

Starts Made By Robert Griffin III: 1.5

"I think I'll go under; what if Philadelphia trades for him and all of a sudden Chip Kelly believes, or the Jets trade for him and he's in the mix there, or some other team. I could see him going over, but I'm still not sold on [Washington] moving on from him," said Jones. "Even if they do, I don't think that team can just hand him the keys to the franchise. You're not bending Robert Griffin to your offense, it's the other way around.

"I don't think he starts two games this season, and I'm not even sure he starts one."

Wins With Tyrod Taylor As Starting QB Of Bills: 8.5

"I'm going under. I'm not sure the Bills are going to win more than eight games on their own, and if they do I'm not sure T-Mobile is the quarterback," said Jones. "The fact I'd have to pick the Bills over/under win total at 8.5, I wouldn't feel great about. With Tyrod Taylor running as much as he does, I don't know if he'll last a whole season."

How Many Career Homers For David Ortiz When He Retires: 550

"I'm going under, and here's the logic. Say he gets to 500 this year, which is very reasonable. What does he have, two years left? Do you think he is going to play beyond this contract, which has already vested? I don't," said Jones. "I don't see him averaging 25 homers, roughly, over the final two years. I'm taking the under but I don't think he's stopping in the early 500's. I don't think he's motivated to get to that number and then hang them up, but 550 is a big number. I don't see him getting there."

SEC Teams That Make The College Football Playoff: 1.5

"Under, and here's why and I don't like the logic. I don't think they'll have any multiple teams from conferences. You're already leaving out one of the power five conferences, so I don't think they want to piss off two conferences by leaving out another team," said Jones. "Last year was four teams from four conferences. It's unfair; it should be the four best teams. But they already screwed that up last year, and we know that's not what it's about. It's about money and politics."
