Man Arrested After Standoff With Police In Framingham
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) -- A man is in custody after Massachusetts State Police and Framingham Police responded to a barricaded armed man, said police.
Officials said that man fired shots at police with a long gun near Edgell Road in Framingham Thursday night.
A standoff ensued.
The suspect was believed to be armed and on the roof of a commercial building at 847 Edgell Road.
Officials were able to use a Bearcat and a negotiator to get the man to surrender.
The standoff started when police were initially called to 14 Whiting Road for a domestic altercation, and that was where he shot at police.
Police said he was then able to move the Slice Of New York Pizza roof on Edgell Road about a third of a mile from the original call.

No additional shots have been fired since the perimeter around the building was set up, said police.
State Police responded to the scene with the Special Tactical Operations Team and K-9 units.
Framingham Police had ordered shelter in place advisory just after 10 p.m which has ended.
