Framingham Man Charged In Fatal Mansfield Hit-And-Run

MANSFIELD (CBS) – A Framingham man is under arrest on charges of drunken driving and fleeing the scene of an accident that killed a pedestrian in Mansfield Sunday night.

Hung Manh Ho, 57, of Framingham was allegedly driving a 2004 Ford F350 dump truck when it struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Hope and Pratt streets about 9:30 p.m., Mansfield police said.

Witnesses reported the accident and told police a white box truck fled the scene. A short time later, Mansfield firefighters reported seeing a white truck going the wrong way down North Main Street.

A Mansfield police officer stopped the wrong way truck on Thomas Street at North Main and saw damage to the truck's hood and driver side, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro and died as a result of the injuries sustained in accident. Officials are not releasing the victim's name pending notification of family members.

Mansfield and state police are continuing to investigate.
