Grafton Fire, DPW Rescue Fox From Sewer Grate

GRAFTON (CBS) -- Grafton firefighters and public works employees rescued a young fox from a sewer grate Wednesday morning.

Initially, Grafton police were called to an address on Danielle Drive regarding the fox being trapped in a storm drain grate. The responding officer found the small fox stuck in the grate with only his head visible.

Town firefighting and public works personnel then arrived to assist. The fox was freed with the use of dish soap.

It did not appear to be injured, running off into nearby woods but not before looking back at rescuers, as if to thank them.
