Four Arrested For Selling Counterfeit Patriots Tickets

FOXBORO (CBS) — The Patriots are warning fans to be careful where they but their tickets for this weekend's AFC Championship Game after four people were arrested for selling counterfeits.

Team officials said a fan bought counterfeit tickets to Sunday's game versus the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium after seeing them listed on Craigslist.

Police arrested four people at the Holiday Inn in Somerville after the man met the suspects and paid $900 for the four counterfeit tickets.

The sellers, who the Patriots said are New York residents, listed counterfeit tickets in Saugus, Billerica, and Somerville.

Jose Lopez, Jatquan Hyman, Jarrell Inge and a juvenile were all charged by Somerville police with Larceny Over $250. The four people are currently being held on bail at the Billerica House of Correction.

"We are cautioning fans in the greater Boston area to beware of secondary market purchases of Patriots tickets for this weekend's game," the Patriots said in a statement. "The only verified sellers of Patriots tickets are the Patriots Ticket Office and Ticketmaster."
