Former Patriots Receiver Brandon LaFell Reportedly Signs With Bengals

BOSTON (CBS) -- Former Patriots receiver Brandon LaFell reportedly has a new home.

LaFell has agreed to a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to his agents (via ESPN's Adam Schefter).

The receiver played in 27 games over his two seasons in New England, hauling in 111 catches for 1,468 yards and seven touchdowns. He had a pair of touchdowns in New England's title run in 2014, including the first touchdown of their Super Bowl XLIX win over the Seattle Seahawks.

But LaFell, slowed by injuries and drops, struggled mightily throughout the 2015 campaign, recording just 37 receptions for the season. He was not targeted in the Patriots' AFC Championship game loss to the Denver Broncos, and was released by New England on March 2.
