Former Patient Thanks MGH Nurses With Free Makeovers

BOSTON (CBS) -- It's National Nurses Week and one former patient pulled out all the stops Thursday for nurses at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Hundreds of high-end cosmetics were sprawled on a conference table as women were made up by the same hands that make up celebrities.

It was all dreamed up by Tim Quinn, head of beauty for Armani. He was successfully treated at MGH for cancer, and gives the nurses makeovers every year to say thank you.

"It's the nurses who are with you morning noon and night, doing those awful blood things and needles, and all that stuff the doctors don't have to see," Quinn said.
