Former Boys & Girls Club Employee Charged With Child Rape

WOBURN (CBS) - A former Woburn Boys and Girls Club employee was indicted by a grand jury on child rape charges on Friday over allegations dating back to 2000 that involve a girl he met at the club.

Christopher Elwell, 33, of Woburn is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old victim while he was the Junior Director of Physical Education at the club.

He's also accused of showing the victim pornography, along with nude videos of himself and encouraging her to take nude pictures of herself.

The alleged incidents took place over a three year period at the club and at the defendant's home.

Elwell is charged with three counts of rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of fourteen, dissemination of matter harmful to a minor, and posing a child in a state of nudity.
