Forklift Topples Into Home Of NH City Councilor

KEENE, N.H. (CBS) -- A forklift toppled into a New Hampshire home on Monday afternoon, but no one was injured.

Fire officials said the Tele-handler was lifting shingles onto the roof of a home on the corner of Belmont and Brown avenues in Keene when it tipped over at about 3 p.m.

All four wheels of the forklift were off the ground and it took about a half hour to get it to the ground once wires were shut down and wreckers were hooked up to the machine.

There was no structural damage to the home and the forklift wasn't significantly damaged either.

The owner of the home is Keene City Councilor Jan Manwaring, officials said.
