Flanagan Finishes 3rd In Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon

BOSTON (CBS) -- Hometown Olympian Shalane Flanagan finished in third place in Sunday's, inaugural Runner's World Heartbreak Hill Half & Festival.

Molly Sords, 20, of Boston, came in first with a time of 1:27:43 and Kathryn Cooper, 34, came in second in the women's race with a time of 1:29:19.

Flanagan's final time was 1:29:37.

The weekend festival was headquartered at Boston College. All three races, the 5-K, 10-K and Half Marathon, traversed the iconic Boston Marathon course. Flanagan ran in all three races.

For the men's race 25-year-old Eric Ashe of Massachusetts, came in first place with a time of 1:10:12. Louis Serafini came in second with a time of 1:10:51 and Tanner Cook came in third with a time of 1:13:17.
