First Responders Remember April 15, 2013

BOSTON (CBS) --- In this segment, WBZ's Diane Stern presents perspectives from several first responders, including Betty Sparks, an ER nurse at Newton Wellesley Hospital, who volunteered at the finish line medical tent.

She talks about encountering Jeff Bauman and Carlos Arredondo in the immediate minutes following the bombings. Mike Savoy ,at the time an ER nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital, compares his experience helping the bombing patients at the Brigham, to his years as an Army medic, and finds many similarities.

Part Two

Donny Gazerro is EMS Coordinator with the Brockton Fire Department and found himself trying to help Martin Richard and Lingzi Lu at the second bombing site.

Part Three

All three medical personnel discuss how the tragedy has impacted them over the past year.
