Boston's First Baby Of 2022 Born At Brigham And Women's Hospital

BOSTON (CBS) - The first baby born in Boston in 2022 arrived just after midnight in the New Year.

Aria Grace was delivered at Brigham and Women's Hospital at 12:05 a .m. Saturday.

She weighs 7 pounds and 5 ounces.

Her parents, Alexander and Taiana Katsaras, say everything happened very quickly. They arrived at the hospital at around 9 p.m. on Friday night.

"We had some friends over for dinner, and then in the middle of dinner, everything started happening. So we just started rushing to the hospital, but we had everything prepared," said Alexander Katsaras.

Taiana Katsaras added, "We're very happy. She's healthy."
