Firefighters Battle Heavy Fire At Plymouth House

PLYMOUTH (CBS) -- Firefighters battled a 2-alarm house fire in Plymouth early Sunday morning.

The Duxbury Fire Department said it was part of the response to heavy fire showing on Standish Avenue. It took firefighters at least an hour to douse the flames.

The fire extended to the second and third floors of the three-story home, Plymouth fire officials said. Two residents and one firefighters were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
