Firefighters Battle Commercial Building Blaze In Norwood

NORWOOD (CBS) – A two-alarm fire broke out at a commercial building in Norwood on Thursday afternoon.

The building on Endicott Street houses an insulation business and an overhead door business.

No injuries were reported and no one was inside when the fire started.

Cold weather made battling the fire difficult.

"The snow, access problems, of course the cold, is tough on human beings, firefighters, and tough on equipment," said Chief Tony Greeley.

Foam insulation and other building materials burning inside caused a partial collapse.

"There's so much fuel that it's going to go for a while," Norwood Firefighter Bill LeBlanc said.

There cause of the fire was not immediately known.
