Fire Destroys Farmhouse In Lunenburg

LUNENBURG (CBS) – A fire destroyed a farmhouse in Lunenburg Monday night.

Firefighters from several communities were called to the home on Mulpus Road just after 8 p.m.

It took about two hours to bring it under control, but the fire did not spread to an attached barn.

Everyone inside the house escaped safely, but a dog was still missing Tuesday, according to the fire department.

Damage is estimated at more than $400,000.

There's no word yet on how the fire started.
