De Lima and little Julian were last seen on January 9.

"I never thought I'd go through this so it's kind of hard to explain how I feel besides very excited," said Mahalia Alexander-Paggi about having her son safe in her arms again.

She was at Logan Aiport late Sunday night to greet Julian. "He had to take a double-take, 'is that my mom?' But he came right to me."

According to police, "De Lima had a 9-day lead on this investigation and had he made to Brazil, this reunion may never have occurred."

Alexander-Paggi told WBZ-TV De Lima was trying to bring baby Julian to his native Brazil until he was 18.

De Lima also taunted her on social media while he drove himself and Julian to Mexico, Alexander-Paggi said. "Just sending me pictures just to torture me, sending me videos, sending a picture of another woman with my son."

Julian took his first steps with his father and learned a few more words, but Alexander-Paggi is thankful she has a lifetime with her boy to make up for time lost.
