Fenway Park Turned Into Field Of Dreams For Young Cancer Patients

BOSTON (CBS) -- Fenway Park turned into a field of dreams for some young cancer patients on Saturday.

Pediatric cancer patients took turns at bat, running the bases and fielding for the John Hancock Fenway Fantasy Day.

WBZ-TV chief meteorologist Eric Fisher was among those taking part in the charitable event to benefit the Jimmy Fund.

Young Red Sox fan Max Mitchell, whose favorite player is Big Papi, said he had a lot of fun running the bases and hitting.

His mother said this was their first time at the event.

"I think it's great," Marisa Mitchell said. "Anything that raises money for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber helps Max live longer, survive and get better."
