Felger & Mazz: May 19, 2014

Felger and Massarotti kicked off the week discussing the Detroit Tigers sweep of the Boston Red Sox this weekend. The Red Sox were outscored 13-3 by the Tigers in three games. The Red Sox are know three games below .500 and fourth in the American League East. Are there communication issues in the Red Sox clubhouse? What is keeping Mike Carp on the roster? Should the Red Sox consider bring Stephen Drew back? Mike and Tony went on to discuss the latest news surrounding Jared Remy.

 

In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz discussed the Eastern Conference Finals in the NHL. Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price will miss the remainder of the series against the New York Rangers with a lower body injury. The Rangers beat the Canadiens 7-2 in Game 1. How much does the Canadiens Game 1 loss frustrate Bruins fans? Will Shawn Thornton be a part of the Bruins future? Finally, Mike and Tony were joined by Ed Gray of the Boston Herald to discuss the upcoming Belmont Stakes and California Chrome being allowed to wear his nasal strip in his attempt at the Triple Crown.

 

During Hour 3 of the Felger and Massarotti, the guys discussed the Boston Celtics. The Celtics have been involved with some rumors surrounding Minnesota Timberwolves big man Kevin Love. Love wants out of Minnesota. Is Boston a potential destination for Kevin Love? What would the C's have to give up to acquire Love?

 

In the fourth and final Hour, Felger and Mazz took calls on the Kevin Love to the Celtics rumors. What will it take for the Celtics to acquire Kevin Love? If the Celtics were able to acquire Love, would Love want to commit long-term to Boston? Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
