Felger & Mazz: April 30, 2014

Felger and Massarotti opened the day looking back at the this year's NHL Trade Deadline. At the deadline, the Montreal Canadiens were able to acquire forward Thomas Vanek. How does the Vanek trade compare to the Pittsburgh Penguins acquisition of Jarome Iginla last season? Mike and Tony went on to preview the three Game 7's going on tonight. Felger and Mazz check in with friend Tony Marinaro from TSN 690 in Montreal to see how he's breaking down the series. Finally, the guys reminds us of why we hate the Canadiens.

 

In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continue to look back the Bruins-Canadiens rivalry. Mike and Tony relive the incident between Zdeno Chara and Max Pacioretty in 2011. With one month down in the season, Mike and Tony check in on the Boston Red Sox. At the end of April, the Sox are one game under .500 and 2.5 games out of the AL East. Where are fans on the Grady Sizemore vs. Jackie Bradley Jr. debate today? To wrap up the hour, Mazz rips into New York Yankees fans.

In the fourth and final Hour, Felger and Mazz get back into this year's NHL Trade Deadline. Is this the series where the Bruins find out if they did enough at the deadline? The guys went on to discuss NBA commissioner Adam Silver's decision to hit Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling with a lifetime ban. How could this ruling help the Boston Celtics?
