Father, Son Charged In Murder Of Man Found Behind Norwood School

SOMERVILLE (CBS) – A father and son from Somerville have been charged in connection with the death of a man whose body was found behind a Norwood school.

Anthony Canejo Sr., 52, was arraigned on charges of armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. His son, 30-year-old Anthony Canejo Jr., was arraigned on accessory charges.

Prosecutors say the suspects lived with the victim, 66-year-old Vincent Lalli, in an apartment in Somerville. Lalli's body was found behind the Coakley Middle School January 29.

Canejo Sr. allegedly assaulted Lalli with a crowbar and strangled him in Somerville. It is alleged that Canejo Jr. helped his father bring the body to Norwood, where it was discovered by a dog walker.

The suspects are being held without bail.
