Man Killed After Train Hits Pickup Truck In Abington

ABINGTON (CBS) - A man was killed when a commuter rail train struck a pickup truck in Abington Tuesday night.

The crash happened near the intersection of North Ave and Railroad Street at about 8:20 p.m.

Transit Police say the driver of the truck, a 78-year-old man, was killed.

There were 10 passengers on board the inbound commuter rail train at the time. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation but foul play is not suspected.
