Man Shot Dead In Broad Daylight In Everett

EVERETT (CBS) -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Everett.

Everett police responded to the scene on Ferry Street around 2p.m. Sunday. Witnesses told WBZ-TV the incident looked like an attempted carjacking.

A male was shot and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"It was two gunshots, I believe, to the shoulder," one witness said. "It was a black male and a black female that stole their vehicle."

"The guy that got shot, he ran up to the street and that's when he had fallen right there, and he had said to the girlfriend, 'I can't breathe, I can't breathe,'" a witness said.

No details have been released about the circumstances of the shooting. No arrests have been made.
