Faneuil Hall Holiday Tree Arrives In Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- Christmas arrived Thursday at Faneuil Hall -- on the back of a big flatbed truck.

With the a cappella group "Boston Found" supplying the soundtrack, the 85-foot tall Norwegian Spruce weighing more than 10 tons pulled into Boston from Wayland, Pennsylvania.

The tree and all of Faneuil Hall Marketplace will be decked out with over 350,000 lights for the holiday season.

"There will also be some great local merchants and national retailers here to do some holiday shopping, and be able to take in the sights and sounds of Quincy Market," said Faneuil Hall Marketplace general manager Joe O'Malley.

WBZ-TV will broadcast "The Faneuil Hall Marketplace Holiday Spectacular" live on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m.
